Physical Therapy FAQs

If you still have questions, let’s chat! Call us or email us and we’ll get back to you.
Do I need a prescription or referral to begin Health Loft physical therapy in Chicago?

No. Direct Access in Illinois now allows you to meet with a Health Loft physical therapist in Chicago without a prescription or referral. This holds true as long as we observe substantial and measurable improvement within your first 10 visits or 15 days from beginning the physical therapy. If not, we will consult your doctor to further analyze the causes of your condition and devise a better treatment plan for you.

Can I see the same physical therapist every visit?

Yes! It’s important to us that you develop a relationship with the same physical therapist so they can be part of your entire journey. Repeated visits with the same PT also ensure that your relationship is based on trust and is as comfortable as it can be.

How do I know if my insurance will cover physical therapy in Chicago?

We will verify your insurance when you book your first appointment. Health Loft accepts most major insurance plans and Medicare.

Can I use my HSA, FSA, or a self-payment plan to pay for physical therapy in Chicago?

Yes, you can use your savings dollars to pay for your physical therapy. We also have payment plans and discounts available if you decide to pay upfront with your HSA/FSA or out of your personal pocket.

What are your operational hours for physical therapy in Chicago?

We are open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

How do I make an appointment?
We’re excited for you to run down the road to recovery! You can schedule your appointment online or call us at 312-736-1868 to get started with the best physical therapy in Chicago.

What should I expect on my first visit?

We want to get to know you! Our first job is to listen to your story and your concerns, ask questions to determine the root problems, and develop a plan that works for your lifestyle. These appointments are always 60 minutes long.

How long do appointments typically last?

All physical therapy appointments are between 45-60 minutes. That’s 2-3 times longer than most traditional clinics that offer physical therapy in Chicago.
