About
I became a Registered Dietitian while trying to manage my own struggles with food and the mental aspects surrounding it. Raised without a diet mentality, I realized that when I tried to “diet,” it simply never worked. Instead, I learned that I needed to gradually improve my habits in order to become healthier. I live by an “add, don’t subtract” mentality—let’s find ways to add nutritious foods to your life instead of restricting foods you’ve been told to avoid your whole life. That way, we can explore a whole new world together and experience the joy of culinary nutrition
Approach to Care
My approach is rooted in habits and beliefs about food. Nutrition starts in the mind and in how we think about ourselves and the foods we eat. It begins with culture, upbringing, and a mix of personal preferences and avoidances. Let’s work together to open your mind to a wide variety of healthy foods and to the belief that you are worthy of care through good nutrition.
What to Expect
In our first session, we will dive deep into your food story. What created the habits you have today? How do your food choices shape the way you feel day to day and about yourself? How many nutrients are you getting from your daily intake, and what might be missing? From there, we will create a plan and set a few realistic goals for you to work on before our next session.
