About
Racquel (Rocky) became a dietitian in 2019 because she realized there was a need to bring helpful education about food, health, people, and culture together. Her goal is to help you find a better relationship with food and your body through manageable and sustainable interventions. Rocky believes all food holds a purpose in day to day life, food has no moral value, and all bodies deserve access to adequate and consistent nutrition care.
Approach to Care
Rocky practices through a lense of a non-diet and intuitve eating approach with nutrition care. She believes that each individual person has very unique nutrition needs-and these will be discussed and covered in weekly sessions. Rocky's goal is to ensure each person is heard, seen, and offered ample feedback in nutrition sessions to meet their specific goals.
What to Expect
In your first session, Rocky will be asking a lot of questions about you. She wants to know your medical history, current beliefs about food/body/movement, current medications/supplement usage, relevant labwork recently completed, and establishing short-term/long-term goals. Rocky also wants to know what brings you joy in everyday life (hobbies, work, interests, etc.). With this information: she will help you debunk current negative beliefs about food/body/movement, create an individualized meal plan, and help you reach your established goals through sustainable and freeing interventions.
