About
Hi! I’m Kristen Nyampong, a Registered Dietitian based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. I work with clients through a trauma-informed, weight-inclusive lens, centering care that’s compassionate, culturally grounded, and built around your real life, not some rigid ideal. I specialize in working with teens and adults experiencing eating disorders, particularly ARFID, as well as those navigating disordered eating, chronic dieting, or an overwhelming relationship with food. I’ve supported clients in Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) settings, and now work one-on-one with individuals who are ready to take gentle but meaningful steps toward healing. As a Ghanaian-American dietitian, I’m passionate about integrating cultural identity into nutrition care—honoring traditional foods and making space for culture in the healing process. I also have a family history of diabetes, which shapes the way I support clients navigating blood sugar concerns or prediabetes with compassion and practical guidance.
Approach to Care
My approach to nutrition care is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in respect for your lived experience. I practice from a trauma-informed, weight-inclusive perspective, which means we focus on supporting your health and relationship with food without shame, judgment, or rigid rules. I believe healing happens at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. Together, we’ll work toward building consistent meal patterns, reconnecting with hunger and fullness cues, and creating a more peaceful relationship with food. Our work may include practical tools like grocery planning, exploring new foods, developing meal and snack ideas, or navigating situations that feel overwhelming around food. I’ll meet you where you are—and when you’re ready, I’ll gently challenge you with care and respect. As a Ghanaian-American dietitian, I also believe culture belongs in nutrition care. Traditional foods, family food memories, and cultural identity are all avenues that are welcomed for us to explore My goal is to help you build a way of eating that supports both your well-being and your real life.
What to Expect
My sessions are collaborative, supportive, and flexible. I’ll meet you where you are and help you build tools—whether that’s grocery planning, exploring new foods, or setting up meal/snack ideas. I’ll also gently challenge you when you’re ready, with care and respect.
