About

Katie is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist that collaborates with all clients to create sustainable lifestyle changes that support their overall health and well-being. Food acts as fuel but also has the ability to cultivate memories, emotions and traditions. She believes that food should not only support someone’s physical health, but their social, emotional, and mental health as well. With an “all foods fit”, body positive approach, Katie focuses on identifying individual barriers and personal preferences as she works closely to establish confidence in clients reaching their unique goals. Through evidence-based practice and strong interpersonal relationships, Katie helps her clients establish positive relationships with food to reach their nutrition and lifestyle goals.

Approach to Care

Katie is dedicated to providing the best quality of care to all clients, and understands how to treat the person and not just the problem. Her approach is very individualized and takes into account your story seen from all aspects of life past food specifics- examining work life, school, social life, family life and more. She will always meet you where you are each week, and remind you that we are aiming for realistic for you and not perfection. She believes small changes are what make lifelong progress, and will guide you along the way to instill confidence.

What to Expect

Your first hour spent with Katie will be all about getting to know you- highlighting what your main goals are and what you hope to achieve working with a Dietitian. Katie will conduct a thorough nutrition assessment which will look beyond typical food and nutrition-related questions, including discussing personal and familial medical history, medication/supplement use, recent lab work, social history, lifestyle/stress levels with plenty of time for general questions regarding your future sessions. The top priority will be forming a comfortable, collaborative relationship and viewing your care from every side. The next step for you and Katie will be establishing realistic goals to move toward with and how to begin setting that plan in motion!
