About
Kate became a dietitian with a goal of making lasting nutrition changes accessible & manageable for all of her clients by redefining what "healthy" can look like for each individual. Kate approaches sessions by providing solid nutrition education & interventions, dismissing false nutrition claims & diet culture, and focuses on the client's relationship with food.
Approach to care
Kate Foody's drive as a dietitian is to work uniquely with each client to create safe, sustainable, and nourishing relationships with food. She believes that qualified and unbiased nutrition care should be available to every individual, no matter their size, health barriers, or schedule. She translates her culinary training into her practice by promoting food as not only a source of fuel, but comfort, tradition, celebration, connection, and recovery.
What to expect
In your first session with Kate, you can expect lots of questions about you! The goal is to gather your medical history, discuss medication and supplement use, and review any relevant bloodwork. We will also explore your relationship with food, considering your attitudes and emotions related to eating. You'll be asked about your food preferences, current eating habits, and any barriers you face in meeting your goals, as well as all the other things that make you, you (hobbies, work, interests, etc)! By sharing this information, Kate will be able to create a plan of care that considers your unique circumstances and empowers you to make positive, lasting changes to your diet and overall health.
