About
Jessica is a Registered Dietitian who strongly believes in the vital role food plays with an integrative, functional medicine approach specializing in diabetes management, heart health and general health/aging. By combining conventional and functional medicine principles, Jessica emphasizes that nutrition can be a powerful tool for healing and maintaining optimal health while also recognizing the importance of identifying root causes. By helping clients to understand how their food choices impact how they feel, she guides those toward more intentional decisions that nourish both body and mind.
Approach to Care
I provide individualized nutrition guidance within a holistic framework to support lasting wellness and to meet the needs of each client. We focus on realistic, yet sustainable strategies around nutrition, lifestyle, physical activity and supplementation when appropriate while also upholding accountability in order to achieve long-term consistency. Step by step, together we will rebuild or create your life in which you don't feel like you're playing Monopoly and you need that get-out-of-jail free card.
What to Expect
During your first session, we will cover a lot of ground and explore what led you to schedule this appointment. We'll begin by reviewing expectations, appointment frequency, scheduling, and communication between sessions. While you may be eager to dive in, covering these items first helps prevent surprises and ensures we are on the same page moving forward. You can expect thoughtful, open-ended questions and space to be heard in each session to ensure comfortability. At the end of each visit, you will leave with practical next steps and individualized recommendations while eliminating any questions or concerns.
