About

Emily is a registered dietitian who is passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship with food. She has dedicated the majority of her career to working with both children and adults in their Eating Disorder recovery, spanning from Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient levels of care. With her extensive experience in higher levels of care, Emily demonstrates expertise in managing and treating various eating disorders. Emily strongly supports the idea that all foods can fit within a balanced diet, promoting a non-restrictive approach to eating. This philosophy aligns with her goal of helping clients find food freedom, where they can make choices based on their desires and needs, rather than adhering to rigid rules. Emily understands that this work can be challenging, and she is always open to bringing the positivity and authenticity that every individual desires. Whether you are just coming out of treatment or embarking on your recovery journey, Emily is here to provide the support you need!

Approach to Care

Emily's approach is well-aligned with a client-centered and holistic approach to dietary care. Emily recognizes that individuals are not defined solely by their dietary struggles but are complex beings with unique needs and emotional experiences. By providing a safe, compassionate, and empowering environment, Emily aims to help her clients build a healthier and more positive relationship with food and, in turn, with themselves.

What to Expect

In your first session with Emily, she will dedicate time to get to know you and conduct a comprehensive nutrition assessment. This will include discussing your medical history, medication/supplement use, lab work, hydration/nutrition status, and other relevant topics. Together, you will collaboratively set individualized short- and long-term goals, forming the foundation for creating sustainable habits that align with your personal preferences and aspirations. Emily's focus is on supporting you in your journey towards improved well-being and a healthier relationship with food. This initial session lays the groundwork for a positive and tailored approach to your nutritional needs and goals.
