How can I book an appointment?

We provide multiple options to book an initial appointment.

On our homepage, you can find a link to “Get Started” which will take you through a series of questions to match you with a provider that works with your area of interest and is licensed in your state.

Alternatively, one of our support team members can assist you with booking an appointment, simply call (855) 552-5557 or email appointments@healthloftco.com.

How do I know you are matching me with the right provider?

Our support team will help match you with a provider by asking you questions about your medical history, your interest in seeing a dietitian, and location. Once we understand a little more about you, and confirm we accept your insurance, we will find a provider in your state that matches you best and schedule an initial appointment.

If you prefer, there is also the option of booking with a provider directly through our online booking portal.

I need to reschedule or cancel an appointment

By logging into your patient portal, you can easily cancel or reschedule your appointments up to 24 hours before your visit. For visits that are canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, a late fee will apply.

How long do I have to complete my paperwork?

Ideally having your paperwork completed 48 hours prior to your initial appointment will allow your dietitian to prepare for your appointment, as well as our team assist in getting your appointments covered by insurance.

What states do you see patients in?

We currently see clients in most states, please take a look at our location map to see which states we currently operate in.

Do you offer in-person appointments?

Health Loft currently only offers telehealth nutrition appointments, we do not offer in-person appointments.

Am I able to speak with the dietitian I am interested in working with before booking?

In your initial appointment, you will have the opportunity to review what is important to you, your goals, and discuss a plan of care.

We do not usually provide consultations with our dietitians prior to the initial appointment, but can in some cases, set up a 15 minute call with the dietitian of interest prior to the first appointment.

How do I check when my appointment is scheduled for?

You can check when your next scheduled appointment is by logging into your patient portal.

What is your cancellation policy?

We allow rescheduling of appointments through our front office or online through your patient portal up to 24 hours before your visit. For visits that are canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, a $100 late cancellation fee will apply.

Is my first session a phone call?

All of our appointments are conducted via zoom. You can access your upcoming appointments and your zoom link via your patient portal.

I was charged $100 from Health Loft, what is this charge?

This charge is likely a late cancellation/no-show fee for a previous appointment where less than 24 hours notice was given. These fees are necessary in order to appropriately compensate our dietitians for their time and energy toward providing quality care.

What can I expect in my first appointment with my dietitian?

In your initial appointment with a Health Loft dietitian, you can expect lots of questions about you!

The goal is to gather your medical history, discuss medication and supplement use, and review any relevant lab work. Your dietitian will also explore your relationship with food, considering your attitudes and emotions related to eating.

You’ll be asked about your food preferences, current eating habits, and any barriers you face in meeting your goals, as well as all the other things that make you, you (hobbies, work, interests, etc). By sharing this information, your dietitian will be able to create a plan of care that considers your unique circumstances and empowers you to make positive, lasting changes to your diet and overall health. The session is rounded out with an overview of what the process of working with your provider will look like, as well as simple tasks to work on prior to the next appointment. While there will be many questions for you, please feel free to ask any questions you have of your dietitian as well!

Do dietitians have the ability to order labs or other tests?

Our dietitians will work with you to determine if there are any necessary tests that you need to optimize your care and work in coordination with other healthcare providers to facilitate their ordering.

I’m interested in working with a dietitian, but I do not see any dietitians available in my state?

If you currently do not see any available dietitians in our online booking system, it is possible that we are either not offering services or do not have current availability in your area. Please reach out to our office at appointments@healthloftco.com to confirm.

How do I transfer to another dietitian?

If you are looking to match with a dietitian that better suits your needs and goals, please reach out to appointments@healthloftco.com and one of our admins can assist you. Additionally, you can also read through our dietitian profiles to see who could be the best fit for you.
