Relieve Knee Pain with Health Loft Physical Therapy
Our team of knowledgeable Physical Therapists knows that finding relief from knee pain requires a multifaceted approach. We use strength, mobility, posture, overall health and education to help you have less pain and more freedom.
Treating Knee Pain
Our team of Physical Therapists at Health Loft in Chicago treats many different types of knee injuries and knee joint pain, but often knee pain patients haven’t experienced a traumatic event to cause their knee pain or injury. Our knees are the subject of constant pressure and stress and can easily become a source of discomfort for many people. Problems with mobility and strength in the ankle or hip in particular can contribute to knee pain or exacerbate a knee injury. When treating a patient for knee pain, it is important to assess all areas of the body from the waist down to make sure that we understand the real driver behind your pain and physical limitations and are able to determine the best course of treatment to get you back to your ideal level of activity.
Individualized Physical Therapy for Knee Injuries
Health Loft Physical Therapists take the time to get to know you and create a personalized plan to give you non-surgical knee pain relief. Before beginning treatment, your PT will examine the mobility and strength of your hip, pelvis, knee, feet and ankles to determine if deficits in these areas could be contributing to your knee pain.
We then take a look at a variety of activities related to your injury such as your squat, lunge, lifting, walking, running, and stair mechanics to assess how your form might be impacting your knee pain. Your doctor will complete the exam with a few specialized tests to pinpoint the problem and use this information to customize a program to remedy your knee pain.
